Our Inspiration
This doll was inspired by our own journey as a military family. In 2020, while I deployed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), my wife Jaclyn and I searched for ways to stay connected with our newborn son Mason. We discovered recordable storybooks and used them nightly. Hearing my voice every evening helped Mason feel comforted and close to me, even though I was miles away.
When I returned, Mason immediately recognized my voice and ran into my arms. That powerful moment inspired us to create the MY HERO Doll, a way to bring this connection to other military families during deployments and separations.
