MY Hero Safety Compliance

Dear Friends,

The MY HERO doll was born from our deep passion for helping military families stay connected, not as a business idea, but as a personal mission. As a military family ourselves, we understand the importance of keeping bonds strong during challenging times, and every detail of the MY HERO doll reflects that commitment to family connection.

As much as love and care shaped this product, safety has always been our top priority. From the very beginning, we took extensive measures to ensure that every aspect of the MY HERO doll met the highest safety standards. I personally oversaw the entire process, ensuring that we complied with all necessary regulations set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This included adhering to ASTM F963-17, covering mechanical and physical safety, flammability tests, and heavy metal restrictions. Additionally, our doll's button cell batteries comply with 16 CFR §1263.3, incorporating UL 4200A standards, ensuring they are safely encased and inaccessible to children. The battery is securely housed inside the recorder, accessible only by screws, providing peace of mind for parents. Even the patches on the doll went through a redesign to make them larger and eliminate any choking hazards, following strict safety guidelines.

Every step we took was made with your child’s safety in mind, and we collaborated with the CPSC to ensure compliance with their guidelines. Our packaging also follows CPSC tracking label requirements, ensuring traceability for every MY HERO doll.

We know the importance of trust, especially when it comes to products for children. We’ve taken every measure to ensure that the MY HERO doll is as safe as it is meaningful. This doll is more than a toy—it’s a symbol of love, connection, and family, helping parents and children feel closer, even when miles apart.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family’s story. If you have any questions about our safety standards or would like to review our testing documentation, please reach out. Your trust means everything to us, and we’re always here to help.

All the best

Recorder Testing:

The My HERO Recorder testing summary shows the results for various safety and regulatory standards. The tests were carried out between July 22, 2024. Here's a brief overview of the key findings:

  1. ASTM F963-17 (Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety):

    • Mechanical and Physical Tests: The recorder passed all tests related to safety, including material quality, electrical and thermal energy safety, small object safety, accessible edges, battery operation, and more.
    • Flammability Tests: The materials used in the recorder passed the flammability tests, meaning they do not ignite easily, and burn rates are within acceptable limits.
  2. Heavy Metals Content:

    • The recorder passed tests for heavy metal content in both paint and substrate materials, ensuring it meets safety standards for lead and other heavy metals.
  3. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) Compliance:

    • The product passed all relevant tests, confirming it does not contain prohibited levels of lead or phthalates and meets labeling requirements for children's products.
  4. Use and Abuse Testing:

    • The recorder underwent normal use testing and abuse testing (impact, torque, tension, and compression) and passed all these durability tests.

This means that the recorder complies with U.S. safety standards for children's toys, including mechanical, physical, and chemical safety requirements.
