Our Inspiration

This idea was born out of our own experience. In 2020, I deployed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) just after the birth of our son Mason. To stay connected, my wife Jaclyn and I relied on recordable storybooks, playing my voice for Mason every night.

When I returned, Mason recognized my voice instantly and ran into my arms. That unforgettable moment inspired us to create the MY HERO Doll, so other military families could share similar moments of connection during deployment.
