All Proceeds from the Sale of Benny Backwards support Cannon Pavlus in his fight against Cancer. Cannon is OUR HERO. Cannon is our HERO. He embodies heroism in every sense of the word. He is strong, he is brave, and his heart is big. Cannon recently celebrated his 3rd Birthday! I met Caleb, Cannon’s father, while serving aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt in 2020. In fact, Caleb was one of the first people I met on the ship. I was struck by his charisma and genuine kindness. Caleb and Sarah are OUR HEROES. They are BOY parents, just like us. We are humbled by their abilities to muster the courage, strength, and faith to face challenges that Jaclyn and I cannot even imagine. Sarah and Caleb’s newest addition, Finn, is only eight months old. Given the time and attention required to care for Cannon - which is undoubtedly the top priority-all income earned from Benny Backwards will go to support Cannon until he is healed, and the Pavlus family can move forward. Thank you, Sarah, Caleb, and Finn showing us what resilience and courage look like.
From the Pavlus family: We are the humble recipients of radical generosity. It isn’t every day that someone writes a book like Benny Backwards and donates the proceeds to your family’s current battle - that’s Backwards. We hope that each and every reader enjoys the message in Benny Backwards. How truly special it is to witness the innocence of children & their desires - they are the most fun of all. 3 year old Cannon has a different journey than most as he was diagnosed with high risk, stage 4, metastatic neuroblastoma on Feb 16, 2024. A lot of Cannon’s childhood may look ‘different’, but in fact we know that Christ works together all things for the good of those who love him. Cannon is currently receiving the best available treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. You can follow Cannon’s story here- https:www.caringbridge.org/visit/cannonpavlus
